Linda Jingles and Natalie Dugong, who have started work as Census Collectors. The ladies will work for 6 to 8 weeks, engaging with community, assisting with the completion of census forms and entering data. They are fully supported by Brett Evans (pictured) who is a former teacher on the island and by Jobfind staff. The ABS is operating out the radio room which is in the Jobfind compound so the workers can access assistance if required.
Lawrence Burke was awarded the keeping Culture alive award at NAIDOC. Lawrence a highly respected community member, who is able to undertake his cultural and community work as part of his activity with Jobfind.
