4 March 2011 – Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club saw its first astronaut player today as Jobfind Centres Australia sponsored the Central Coast Community Chest Charity Golf Classic.
Employment Consultant Lachlan Bennett from Jobfind Centre Gosford played an entire game of golf in an astronaut suit today as he competed against 140 local business people in the 2011 Charity Golf Classic.
Organised by the Uniting Way Central Coast Community Chest and proudly sponsored by Jobfind, the event raised much needed funds for over 80 local charities that assist young people, families, the elderly and the disabled.
“Swinging away in a space-suit is not only a bit of fun, it's a reminder that Jobfind is 'Searching the Universe' for the right staff for local businesses and the right jobs for job seekers on the Central Coast”, says Stewart Williams, Jobfind's Regional Manager who also competed in the tournament. “And because we're a provider of the Government's Job Services Australia program, locals who are in need won't pay a cent to use our services.”
The 2011 Charity Golf Classic was held at Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club, Shelly Beach Road, Shelly Beach NSW.
