20 April 2011 - Jobfind Centres Australia has been recognised by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) for strong nation-wide performance in assisting Australians into employment.
The Federal Government has released its half-yearly Star Ratings report for the period July to December 2010, evaluating the performance of Job Services Australia providers contracted by the Government to deliver employment services to people on income support payments. In this report, eighty-five percent of Jobfind Centres across Australia achieved a ‘star rating’ of 3 out of 5 stars or more for their efficiency and effectiveness in placing and keeping job seekers in employment.
Calculated and awarded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), the Star Ratings compare the performance of providers in each Employment Services Area (ESA) on both the proportion of people placed into work as well as the time taken to do so. With Star Ratings ranging from One Star for poor performance to Five Stars for exceptional performance, the scale is an easy way for job seekers and businesses to determine which local provider will best assist them with their employment needs.
The release of these results coincided with the mid-point in the current three year Job Services Australia (JSA) contract. As a result, all JSA providers were subject to either rewards or sanctions based on their performance against national averages across the industry.
“We are very pleased that Jobfind Mt Isa has been rewarded for all of their hard work and dedication with a Five Star rating, as well a massive increase in job seeker referrals from May onwards”, says Michael Hughes, Executive Director of Jobfind Centres Australia. “Similarly, Jobfind Bundaberg has been awarded a Four Star rating with an increase in their job seeker referrals.”
Much of this success can be attributed to the training and support services Jobfind offers above and beyond those offered by other JSA providers. With customised training programs, over 250 online ‘LearnNow’ courses and ongoing Post Placement Support services, Jobfind offers a one stop shop to effectively place job seekers into meaningful and sustainable work for the long term.
