From 3 June 2011, Jobfind Centres Australia is now offering employment services from the Bulahdelah Rural Transaction Centre (RTC).

People who are unemployed and receiving income support payments from Centrelink are generally required to meet with a provider of the Government’s Job Services Australia (JSA) program, who offer a variety of services to help them into employment.

Until recently, residents of Bulahdelah have had to travel to Tea Gardens, Forster or Taree to access these services. With Jobfind Centre Taree now visiting Bulahdelah Rural Transaction Centre (RTC) every fortnight, local job seekers who are registered with Jobfind can access these services locally to meet their Centrelink requirements.

In addition to helping job seekers with free training and employment services, Jobfind can also assist local employers in Bulahdelah with their employment needs. At no cost, Jobfind can find suitable candidates, provide free training to close any skill gaps, determine eligibility for Government wage subsidies and provide post placement support to help with retaining employees for the long term.

Starting on Friday 3 June, the service was enthusiastically received by the community. “Everyone we have met with in Bulahdelah has been so friendly and grateful to have us visiting, and we look forward to helping many, many more locals in the future”, said Jodie Outtrim, Centre Manager of Jobfind Taree.

“The Bulahdelah Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Jobfind Taree for supporting our Community and looks forward to a long and beneficial relationship”, said Nita Eadie, Town Project Coordinator for Bulahdelah Chamber of Commerce. “A town like Bulahdelah can only grow our community services when the community shows support, so it is important that the community take full advantage of these new services.”
