2 August 2011 – This Wednesday, the team from Jobfind Centre Auburn will be offering information on employment and training assistance as part of the ‘Auburn Welcomes You’ event at Auburn Town Hall.

‘Auburn Welcomes You’, a yearly event hosted by Auburn City Council, will take place again this year on Wednesday 3 August, providing information to new residents of the area on support services offered by local community providers such as Jobfind Centres Australia and Auburn City Council.

With Auburn and its surrounding suburbs being home to one of the largest refugee populations in Sydney, the event aims to assist with the settlement process for those who have recently arrived in the region. This includes providing important information on areas such as housing, community safety and, of course, employment.

“The friendly team from Jobfind Auburn will be there to provide information on the no-cost services we offer to help prepare people for work, get them into a job that is right for them and then help them to stay in those jobs for the long term”, says Marie Patten, General Manager of Jobfind Centres Western Sydney.

“We’ve helped nearly half a million people, from a very diverse range of backgrounds, into employment and we can help you too.”

The event will be held on Wednesday 3 August 2011 from 10.00am to 1.00pm at Auburn Town Hall, Civic Place, 1 Susan Street, Auburn.
