16 November 2011 – Jobfind Centres Australia today announced the winner of its 2012 Calendar Art Competition from among the 58 entries submitted by artistic job seekers around Australia.
Back in July, Job Services Australia (JSA) provider, Jobfind, put out the call to job seekers who have an artistic flair to grab a paintbrush and a canvas and enter the Jobfind 2012 Calendar Art Competition. The brief was fairly simple: create a masterpiece with the theme, “Anything is Possible” – Jobfind’s slogan, reflecting the company’s belief that with the right attitude and the right training, our job seekers can achieve anything.
Today, Jobfind is pleased to announce the winner of the competition, Jungsong Feng of Dapto NSW. The winning artwork, appropriately titled “Anything is Possible”, illustrates in Jungsong’s own words that “when anything is possible, you can take on the world”. Showing an angelic infant lifting the world on his shoulders, the artwork is surrounded by the words “Anything is Possible” in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese and Korean. For painting the winning entry, Jungsong has been awarded a $500 gift voucher from Jobfind.
"I was very happy to win the Jobfind art calendar competition”, said Jungsong. “I have applied to Enmore Design Centre to study graphic design next year and they were very interested to hear about my win. I really hope this helps with my application to study at such a great school and work towards my dream career. Thanks Jobfind!"
In addition to the winning entry, Jobfind would also like to congratulate the following job seekers who were selected as finalists in the competition. All finalists will have their entries proudly displayed throughout the calendar, which will be distributed to thousands of employers and community organisations around Australia:
