Jobfind opens its doors for local job seekers and employers.

1 July 2009 – Job seekers and employers will gain access to tailored services and the latest employment technologies as Jobfind Centres Australia, a division of the Angus Knight Group, commences services today.

From 1 July Jobfind will be providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ in over 130 locations for local job seekers to assist them on their path to employment. Through Jobfind, and with funding from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, participants will have access to a variety of training programs and the opportunity to work with an experienced employment consultant.

According to Angus Knight CEO Mr Con J Kittos, Jobfind is well prepared to deliver the Australian Government’s new Job Services Australia (JSA) programs.

“Jobfind has always focused on the individual, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Under Job Services Australia, we are better equipped than ever to work with local job seekers to develop a tailored program, finding the best training and employment opportunities for them.”

Having placed over 330,000 job seekers into employment since 1998, Jobfind has a proven track record in the industry and uses innovative practices and technologies to assist job seekers gain the skills they need to find employment.

“At Jobfind we have a ‘Work for Life’ focus. Job seekers will have access to employability skills profilers, online learning programs and unique industry-specific courses to identify and gain the necessary work and personal skills they need to ensure lifelong employability,” Mr Kittos said.

Assisting local employers with their staffing needs will also be a priority for Jobfind.

“In the current employment environment Jobfind is able to provide employers with a no cost, customised service – meaning businesses have immediate access to work ready local candidates. This, coupled with our ongoing support through the first six months of employment, will lead to more local opportunities for local people,” Mr Kittos said.
